Pick on Someone Your Own Size, Braylon!

It seems as though the frustration level in Cleveland has reached its boiling point, as wide receiver Braylon Edwards has punched a brayby friend of LeBron James at a bar the other night. The struggling Browns’ receiver was held without a catch for the first time in his career on Sunday, and the Browns were held without a win for the 4th time in 4 tries this season.

Apparently, Edwards has had some run-ins with the law in the past, and this type of behavior is typical from him. Nonetheless, it is something that is surprising to me because the size of LeBron’s friend, who is said to be 5”7 and 135 pounds.

Now, I understand that Edwards was frustrated and needed to let off some heat, but to do so on such a relatively small person makes no sense to me. Hitting somebody who is that much smaller than you, is not something that is considered an accomplishment. In fact, it something to be ashamed of; as if fighting with people in bars isn’t degrading enough. It’s like beating up a girl, it’s just not cool.

If you are going to fight, at least pick on someone your own size, Braylon!

One explanation I could have for Braylon choosing this particular guy is a loss of confidence. His team cannot beat anyone, and he just had no catches for the first time in his career. Those things must be affecting the way he thinks about himself, and he probably believes that he is only capable of beating up smaller people.

If this is indeed the case, the Browns could be in more trouble than they realize. That, right there, is a frightening statement considering how much trouble the Browns are actually in.
